Article Abstract:
Fall-protection programs ensure workers' safety and provide protection for employers against lawsuits. The first step in fall-protection program implementation is job-safety audit. Employers should make sure that the structural safety engineers that conduct a job-safety audit for them have master's or doctorate degrees. These hired engineers should be able to come up with at least three fall-protection plans.

Industry paves way for safety in the EC
Article Abstract:
Amoco Exploration's environmental, health and safety manager in the UK, Stewart Fraser, believes that there are major differences in the approach to safety and health issues in the US and Europe.
