Drink problem
Article Abstract:
A small number of nurses are reported to be unfit for practice to the NMC each year due to alcohol drinking problem. Many of these nurses who use alcohol to relieve stress, causing lack of concentration at work, are afraid to seek the help for their problems and hence they should be made aware of confidential counseling services and good occupational health provisions.

Nurse wages hit by unsocial hours rule
Article Abstract:
The newly introduced unsocial hours payments is changing to a predictive approach with payment being made on the basis of a percentage of total basic salary and not on the basis of hours worked. This has resulted in a drop in some nurses' salary and is causing quite a few problems.
