Easy bruising: should you be worried if you bruise easily?
Article Abstract:
Older people may be susceptible to a common condition of easy bruising. The layer of fat under the skin gets thinner as a person ages, damage from long-term exposure to the sun, genetics, and medication side effects may contribute to easy bruising. Large and painful bruises which appear for no reason and abnormal bleeding from the nose or gums require medical advice.
