Education to achieve symptom control for patients with cancer
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to assess the improvement in patient care by nurses who were trained in methods to help cancer patients control their pain and other symptoms. The nurses reported that they were better able to plan effective care and work with other agencies involved with the care of a cancer patient.

The role of mental health education in a primary care setting
Article Abstract:
The conversion of all primary care groups to primary care trusts by 2004 and the probable increase on an interagency approach to care require developing appropriate mental health courses for nursing staff. Staff support and supervision must accompany such training.
