Engineering ergonomics into the assembly process

'Engineering ergonomics' strategy, intended to develop departmental communications, helps to reduce work place injuries. It is successfully implemented at the John Deere Dubuque Works in Dubuque. Large number of companies found it useful in decreasing their cost of workers safety.

Bad vibrations
Article Abstract:
Nearly 2.5 million workers involved in cutting metal and busting concrete are exposed to vibration. And nearly half of them are affected with a irreversible disease called Hand-arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS). Steps needed to address this problem are discussed at length.
