Epidemiology and nursing: the Melton Mowbray Ageing Project
Article Abstract:
The Melton Mowbray Ageing Project has been underway for almost 20 years and it has been conducted by nurse researchers, doctors and practice nurses. Its aim is to give an an overview of the health needs of older people and assess the effectiveness of the services which are available. The study will help to predict the health of people in the future and what their health care needs will be. Melton Mowbray was chosen because all the local inhabitants use one medical practice and they represent a good cross-section of the national population.

Article Abstract:
The experiences of user and carer participation in nurse education from the perspective of participation in nurse education from the perspective of the key stakeholders involved in the process are reported. The development of practice is informed by focusing on the key issue of concern for participants.

The role of the link teacher in the context of nurse education
Article Abstract:
Link teachers' job is to encourage the utilization of nursing theory in clinical setting. Some of the factors affecting link teachers' effectiveness include teachers' clinical credibility, higher educational institution commitments and number of years away from clinical practice.
