Evaluating a pregnancy liaison service for drug-using women

Article Abstract:

A discussion on the development and review of a pregnancy liaison service within a community drug and alcohol team over a four-year period is presented. The liaison service, developed in 2000 by the Windmill Drug and Alcohol team, is proactive in multi-agency working, and though numbers of women using this service are small, it has evolved and developed over time.
