Examining bowel preparation before flexible sigmoidoscopy
Article Abstract:
A research was conducted to investigate bowel preparation for a flexible sigmoidoscopy, enabling patients to 'wait as long as they can' before the urge to rush to toilet. It was observed that more than half of the participants chose to use the toilet immediately, which clearly indicated that the directive to 'wait as long as you can' was no longer valid after the administration of the rectal enema for a flexible sigmoidoscopy procedure.
