Article Abstract:
Research on normal young men and women revealed that exercise does not stimulate appetite enough to compensate for the increase in calories needed. Women whose exercise burned an additional 382 calories per day did not increase their intake of calories.

Research shows that beta carotene found in carrots and other foods may help in treating fatty deposits in arteries. Subjects in a study who took beta carotene had half as many problems associated with blocked arteries.
