Fecal DNA versus fecal occult blood for colorectal-cancer screening in an average-risk population
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to identify abnormal DNA in stool samples with the Hemoccult II fecal occult-blood test in asymptomatic adults of 50 years of age or older, who are at average risk for colorectal cancer. The results reveal that fecal DNA panel is more sensitive than Hemoccult II for detection of early colorectal cancer.

Quantification of plasma Epstein-Barr virus DNA in patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Article Abstract:
The clinical significance of plasma concentrations of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA in patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma is investigated. The findings indicate that quantification of plasma EBV DNA is useful for monitoring patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and predicting the outcome of treatment.
