Fetal growth risk curves: Defining levels of fetal growth restriction by neonatal death risk
Article Abstract:
Impaired fetal growth plays an important part in predicting adverse perinatal outcomes and small-for-gestational age (SGA) is the most commonly used indicator of fetal growth restriction. Fetal growth curves can be used at and after birth to understand and care for the growth-restricted infants in combination with other available information to estimate the risk of adverse outcomes and the potential need for appropriate interventions.

Customized versus population-based birth weight standards for identifying growth restricted infants: A French multicenter study
Article Abstract:
The characteristics of pregnancies according to customized definition of fetal growth restriction are described and association between customized standards and adverse pregnancy outcomes are determined. The interest of using customized birth weight standard adjusted for maternal and neonatal characteristics to identify fetuses at risk is highlighted.

Human immunodeficiency virus screening among pregnant women in France: results from the 1995 national perinatal survey
Article Abstract:
The French law requiring all doctors and midwives to offer HIV testing to pregnant women appears to have been successful. Even though HIV testing is not mandatory, 87% of 12,341 women surveyed in 1995 said they had been tested before or during pregnancy.
