GOP orders change at top pay panel
Article Abstract:
Congressional Republicans have ordered the Office of Technology Assessment to assign Gail Wilensky as chairman of the Physician Payment Review Commission when current chairman John Eisenberg's term expires in Apr 1995. The change is seen as part of a trend to place Republicans in top positions of Congressional advisory committees. Wilensky is an advocate of Medicare vouchers and managed care, views shared by many important Republican officials.
