Genetic research: finding new ways to prevent and treat disease
Article Abstract:
The Human Genome Project will produce information that will help doctors to treat or prevent some of the 4,000 diseases related to heredity. Gene therapy will provide targeted treatment with few side effects. However, there are ethical issues in gathering genetic information on individuals.
