Gentle teaching
Article Abstract:
Gentle teaching is a psychological procedure useful for changing difficult behaviour. Three clients with learning disabilities have benefited from its use. It ignores undesirable behaviour and praises desired behaviour. Injurious actions are redirected. It is appropriate to a range of behavioural problems in formal or informal situations. The shift in emphasis from correction to encouragement facilitates the establishment of constructive relationships.

Teaching aid
Article Abstract:
The civil war in Liberia resulted in destruction of the infrastructure, which in turn produced a variety of diseases such as tuberculosis, dysentery, pneumonia, and typhoid. The accompanying food shortages aggravated the situation and left many infants, older people, and expectant or lactating mothers with malnutrition. Details of a project to help the situation are given.
