HIV blood test counseling
Article Abstract:
The American Medical Association (AMA) has published guidelines that help physicians who administer HIV blood tests to counsel their patients. The guidelines help physicians with steps such as pretest procedures, posttest counseling and the special considerations needed for adolescents and women. In addition, the AMA believes that physicians should conduct routine tests for all patients.
