Happy trails: the key to a footloose and blister-free walk, run, or hike is a good pair of socks
Article Abstract:
Many athletes and sports enthusiasts underestimate the importance of socks in their exercise routines. An unbalanced emphasis has been placed on athletic and running shoes. Quality sock fabrics can reduce rubbing and moisture. Cotton is one of the more limited fabrics because it absorbs moisture. Synthetic materials help to take moisture away from feet. Socks, also, play a role in cushioning feet. It is important to wear those that have defined heels, non-irritating seams, and snug fits. High-tech sock materials should be laundered using a low or air-heat setting on the dryer.
