Promoting active life styles: dissemination of the HEA's Happy Heart Project
Article Abstract:
The Happy Heart Project set up by the Health Education Authority (HEA) is placing particular emphasis on work with young children, hoping to establish lasting patterns of rewarding and effective physical exercise at an early age. It covers classroom material for children aged 4-11, and also provides information for teachers on the use of health concepts in physical education teaching. In the future, it will also link with the HEA's My Body and Health For Life schemes.
