Hospitals battle doctor-owned centers
Article Abstract:
The physician ownership in specialty hospitals such as cardiology, cardiac surgery, ambulatory surgery, and orthopedic surgery is becoming more common with reference to records showing an increase in 47 percent since 1996. However, these physicians experience a hostile response from hospitals that feel ignored by their investments in their competitors.
