Article Abstract:
Some suggestions for ways in which nurse prescribers can maintain their competence and continue their professional development are discussed. It is suggested that in order to maintain their competence and keep up to date on current practice they need to be able to recognize their current learning needs or identify potential new areas of practice, and evaluate the continuing professional development (CPD) on offer.
