Idiopathic sclerosing peritonitis associated with florid mesothelial hyperplasia, ovarian fibromatosis, and endometriosis: a new disorder of abdominal mass
Article Abstract:
Abdominal infection that becomes hardened, combined with an ovarian tumor and endometriosis may be a new type of abdominal mass. Endometriosis occurs when menstrual tissue migrates out of the uterus and becomes attached to other organs. A 35-year-old woman was hospitalized with persistent vomiting, a pelvic growth, and excess fluid in the abdomen. CT scans and ultrasound examinations revealed bowel obstruction, and surgery was performed. A total abdominal hysterectomy was done, along with removal and reconstruction of some of the bowel. The mass was benign, but could have been fatal because of its progress.

The triangular vaginal patch sling for stress urinary incontinence and hypermobile urethra
Article Abstract:
Stress urinary incontinence may be surgically treated by supporting the bladder and urethra with a sling fashioned from vaginal tissue. Doctors in Italy used a triangular patch of tissue from the vaginal wall to correct urinary leakage and an excessively mobile urethra in 15 women. The surgery was completed in an average of 38 minutes, and all of the patients were satisfactorily relieved of incontinence.
