Impact of long working hours explored
Article Abstract:
Irregular working hours is a bane in the life of many Americans who work much more than their counterparts around the world and this disturbance is also being noticed among doctors and nurses. The difficult working conditions takes a heavy toll on human health and despite restricted working hours for residents in hospitals, there are many who circumvent the orders to make some extra income, but it is high time all take cognizance of the ill-effects on the human body.

Palliative management of fatigue at the close of life: "It feels like my body is just worn out"
Article Abstract:
Case study of an 82-year-old retired nurse suffering from fatigue is presented to provide clinicians with a clinical approach to its evaluation and management at the end of life. It is suggested that very good physician-patient communication, including excessive supportive therapy and empathic listening, is very important at the end of life, even with progressive illness and severe symptoms.
