Improving identification and awareness of hepatitis C
Article Abstract:
Hepatitis C is a viral infection of the liver, and is described as a silent epidemic as most of those infected give no symptoms over a long period. Improvements in screening, treatment and public awareness are needed in order to reduce potential death from liver disease related to infection, which would reduce morbidity and mortality.
