In Sago's aftermath, congressional hearing looks at mine safety
Article Abstract:
Determining causes of explosion in Sago mine in West Virginia, which killed 12 miners, on January 2, 2006, is essential to prevent similar situations in future. The hearing by the Labor HHS subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee on January 23, 2006, believed that such fire accidents can be entirely prevented.
