Injection risk behaviors among clients of syringe exchange programs with different syringe dispensation policies
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to examine whether different syringe dispensation policies were associated with client-level injection-related HIV risk. It is suggested that clients of syringe exchange programs (SEPs) with syringe distribution dispensation policies exhibit lower odds of reusing syringes than clients of SEPs with one-for-one or one-for-one-plus syringe dispensation policies.

Accessing HIV testing and care
Article Abstract:
Rapid HIV tests that can produce results in 10 minutes will allow people to receive their test results on the spot. Marketing strategies can be used to increase the number of high-risk individuals who are tested. Referral systems are also needed to make sure those who test positive receive treatment.

Assessment of the performance of a rapid, lateral flow assay for the detection of antibodies to HIV
Article Abstract:
Researchers describe an HIV antibody test that is better than most FDA-licensed ELISA tests and could be used in developing countries that do not have the proper facilities to do regular HIV testing. The Efoora HIV 1/2/O test is produced by Efoora, Inc. in Chicago, IL.
