Is everybody happy?
Article Abstract:
People frequently assume that circumstances dictate happiness, but studies show that most people have a 'set point' of happiness that they return to after periods of extreme highs or lows. For example, people who win lotteries report temporary increased happiness, but they always return to their previous level of contentment. Likewise, those that have suffered tragedy will also rediscover joy. A persons happiness set-point seems largely dependent on genetics.
