Is racism a problem in nursing?
Article Abstract:
New evidence points out that among the black and minority ethnic nurses disturbing levels of bulling and racism is going on and 30% of bulling came from other nursing colleagues and 45% from supervisors or senior managers. The BME nurses believe that the problem is far more deep-rooted than a few racist individuals with antiquated views and that discrimination is often convert and manifests itself in lack of career progression or managers' failure to act when concerns about racism are raised.
