Issues and dilemmas
Article Abstract:
Health promotion can present dilemmas for nurses since it involves trying to change people's social habits. A change in a patient's lifestyle may be essential for health reasons but many nurses lack the confidence to interfere. Nurses may also be concerned about the amount of information patients should be given about their condition, or feel that they have insufficient knowledge of a particular health aspect to be able to give advice. A study plan and activities are included.

Super confusion
Article Abstract:
The success of the Project 2000 nurse education reforms depends on the supernumerary status of students. A study of those taking part in Project 2000 at a district health authority shows that the term supernumerary is often misunderstood and misinterpreted, while post-experience interpretation reveals that some previously held beliefs are questioned. Details of the study are presented.
