Jab that packs a punch: recent press coverage of the possible link between the MMR vaccine and Crohn's disease leaves nurses in a tricky position
Article Abstract:
There have been suggestions that there could be links between the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination and Chrohn's diseases and autism, in five independent studies. However health professionals are now concerned that media reports may cause an unnecessary scare, and RCN Practice Nurse Association chair Karen Gupta believes that nurses should have no concerns about administering the vaccines as long as the parents have all the facts.

Beating a killer disease
Article Abstract:
There has been a decline in deaths from coronary heart disease in the UK since the 1970s. However, the death rate from coronary heart disease remains very high among Asians living in the UK. Rehabilitation services are poor in some parts of the country, as are levels of fruit and vegetable consumption.
