Keeping Quiet
Article Abstract:
A faculty member at Johns Hopkins Hospital urges graduating pediatric residents to remember the importance of quiet. In her commencement address to the class of 1996 at the Harriet Lane pediatric residency, she stressed the fact that many physicians do not allow patients to speak. As teachers, physicians must remember to let the student discover the answer. Quiet times allow interpersonal relationships to develop and help physicians maintain their perspective. They also prevent physicians from being overwhelmed by their profession.

Keeping well?
Article Abstract:
The construction of a Dexion Ltd. shelving and racking system has an established set of guidelines which must be followed to ensure a safe storage system is installed. Factors such as the structure of the floor space, type of rack to be installed, and the extent of damage from lifting equipment the rack can be expected to withstand should be considered by a professional installer. The correct procedures for maintenance of the shelves are vital and previously used equipment requires a safety inspection.

Keeping your eyes on the prize
Article Abstract:
A specialist health visitor describes the problems involved in setting up a social project and mobile creche for the children of homeless women. The Surviving Homelessness project began with a weekly drop-in for homeless mothers, which offered them the chance to take part in group therapy sessions. Grants from the local health authority, the British Red Cross and the Health Action Zone will allow the project to achieve some of its aims, the most important of which is to give hope to homeless children.
