Klotho-induced insulin resistance: A blessing in disguise
Article Abstract:
Insulin resistance, an unhealthy component of the life-shortening metabolic syndrome can also be very good and advantageous to health of an individual, when it is combined with the life-prolonging hormone, klotho. The analysis show that the prevention of the proposed mechanism of the life-shortening metabolic syndromes, namely intracellular lipid overload and lipotoxicity can be achieved by reducing the availability of the insulin-stimulated intracellular glucose.

Improving metabolism by increasing energy expenditure
Article Abstract:
Various studies are conducted which shows that the young family members of the individuals with type 2 diabetes show various inherited defects like abnormal oxidative phosphorylation, which can be treated by stimulating the mitochondrial activities. The analyses prove that by increasing such activities and the energy expenditure can be of very significant use in the treatment of diabetes and also increases metabolic homeostasis.

When the clock stops ticking, metabolic syndrome explodes
Article Abstract:
The circadian clock, an endogenous self-sustained machinery of various transcriptional loops completely control the biological oscillation but is itself controlled by the input signals like light and feeing. It is shown that the changes in the circadian rhythmicity are always accompanied by the alterations in one or more of the pathological components of the metabolic syndrome.
