Should nursing be an all degree profession?
Article Abstract:
Two nursing teachers debate on the issue of whether nursing should be an all degree profession. One believes that it should be so because the profession involves decision-making, utilizing an extensive knowledge base and skilled delivery of care, while the other does not feel the need for such a criteria arguing that experience matters the most as care assistants are well capable of gaining vocational qualifications and then deliver personal and nursing care.
