Know how: vitamins and minerals
Article Abstract:
Some sections of the UK population may not be eating in such a way as to fulfill their nutritional requirements. These include people with learning disabilities, the homeless and those on a low income. People in these groups may require nutritional supplements, but they should also be encouraged to adopt a healthy, balanced and varied diet. People with AIDS and HIV need increased levels of micronutrients, while vegetarians and vegans should be encouraged to eat plant proteins equal in quality to animal proteins.
