Chris Duffy, who temporarily retired from bodybuilding for five years after critics lambasted him for having thighs that overshadowed his upper body, mark his return to competitive bodybuilding by placing second in the heavyweight class in the 1992 US championships and winning the NPC Nationals in Oct 1992.

Chris Duffy decided to quit competitive bodybuilding after placing sixth in the 1987 Junior Nationals. After a five-year hiatus, Duffy returned to competitive bodybuilding by winning the heavyweight championship at the 1992 NPC Nationals in Orlando, FL.
