Lethal dose waiting, doctor dies after stopping dialysis

Allison B. Willeford, MD and a former surgeon and an activist for Oregons physician-assisted suicide law died on 29 October 2003 after deciding to discontinue dialysis. He received attention for publicizing his decision to go through his states physician-assisted suicide process and obtain a lethal prescription for Nembutal, which he later decided to discontinue.
