Light the way to safety: improve safety and save money with the right type and amount of light
Article Abstract:
More is not necessarily better when it comes to business lighting. Some shop owners think that putting up their facade in lights will make prospects notice their establishment more. On the contrary, overlit areas are not good for the eyes. Being exposed to glaring light temporarily stuns a person's vision and the jarring contrast of light and dark can result in night blindness once the person moves to a dark area. Bright lights are not so efficient either, security-wise and energy-wise. Glaring security lights waste electricity and create dark shadows which can mask activity.

Thus, drills should be practiced regularly under responsible staff who should be trained in first aid or safety procedures.
