Cleaning choices
Article Abstract:
Conflicting views on wound cleaning make it difficult for nurses to know which method to use, but research suggests that irrigation may be better than mechanical methods, such as dressing forceps. In most wounds, irrigation with warm saline or water is the most useful treatment. Wound cleaning is necessary to create ideal conditions for healing.
