The new draft on the prophylaxis and treatment of the MRSA bacterium shows that 95% of MRSA isolates are unprotected from four common antibiotic types. It states that tetracyclines should be used in adults for treating skin and soft tissue infected with MRSA and as a first-line treatment for urinary tract infections.

Why is sexual health in crisis?

The release of the new official data on sexually transmitted infections reported that there is a dramatic increase in the diagnosis in the past five years, and a continuing increase in teenage conceptions. Hence, it is suggested that nurses have to work harder in order to tackle the nationEs worsening sexual health.

Light eases dementia agitation
Article Abstract:
A study by the University of Manchester on the effects of bright light therapy on patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is described. Exposure to bright light seemed to calm agitation and help patients to sleep better.
