Magnetism on the brain
Article Abstract:
The transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technique is used by many scientists to turn on and off particular parts of the brain in research efforts, as it acts as a possible therapeutic alternative to electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) for depression. TMS can also be used to produce more consistent and longer lasting changes in the brain.
