Measuring the impact of modern matrons in the ward setting
Article Abstract:
The role of the modern matron is believed to be a fundamental part of clinical governance, which ensures the quality of the care provided is of the highest standard. The United States Government considered that it was essential to reintroduce the role of matron to establish a clear responsibility for standards in the ward setting and for this an audit was instituted to provide a proper view of the impact of the modern matron.
