Tobacco use in Vietnam: prevalence, predictors, and the role of the transnational tobacco corporations
Article Abstract:
Aggressive marketing of cigarettes in Vietnam by transnational tobacco corporations may have led to the highest smoking rate in the world. A survey of 2,004 Vietnamese men and women found that 73% of the men and 4% of the women smoked. Most of the men smoked Vietnamese cigarettes but many would smoke non-Vietnamese cigarettes if they could afford to. Those who lived in the south in urban areas were more likely to smoke non-Vietnamese cigarettes. Three-quarters of those who remembered seeing cigarette ads said non-Vietnamese cigarettes were the most widely advertised.

Sudden traumatic death in children: "We did everything but your child didn't survive"
Article Abstract:
Treatment of children who become suddenly and catastrophically ill is difficult for physicians, as they must simultaneously attend to the complex and rapidly evolving medical situation as well as to the equally important task of dealing with family members. It is important that clinicians establish a trusting bond with family members and in case of death provide emotional support so that families suffer less going through such tough ordeal.
