Mixing company
Article Abstract:
The Ministry of Defence will transfer it's staff from the Cambridge Military Hospital in Aldershot to special NHS units within the UK. NHS hospitals will be converted and upgraded to cater for three Ministry of Defence Hospital Units (MDHUs). The Royal Naval Hospital in Gosport will become the centre for training all navy, army and RAF clinical staff. One advantage of this arrangement is that the Ministry of Defence staff will gain a broader experience. A potential problem is the superior pay and conditions received by army staff as compared with those in the NHS.
