Curbing television's violent streak
Article Abstract:
The American Medical Assn opposes violence in television and has endorsed a bill that would mandate a device installed in all new television sets allowing households to screen out violent television shows. The AMA believes that children imitate what they see on television and that viewing such violence on television may encourage aggressive behavior.
