NHS employers sets out its responsibilities

NHS director Steve Barnett speaks on the issue of reform of NHS pension scheme with plans to propose the raising the nurse retirement age to 65 and reveals that the US government gave the organization a mandate to be a negotiating partner in the pension talk. He explains that NHS Employers has a contract with the Department of Health that stipulates what the organization is expected to do to observe through modernization of human resources in the NHS.

Wait to join AfC plan exceeds two years
Article Abstract:
The slow functioning of payroll departments has delayed the NHS staff's joining of Agenda for Change (AfC) pay scheme even in March 2007, two and a half years after it began. As a result the employees might fail to get the revised pay in spite of unions probing into the matter.
