Nefazodone-Induced Liver Failure: Report of Three Cases
Article Abstract:
The antidepressant drug nefazodone may rarely cause liver failure. Researchers report three cases of acute liver failure in women treated with the drug. Two patients required liver transplantation, one of whom died subsequently. One patient improved without transplantation. All three patients had similar damage to their liver cells. Liver function tests should be performed before initiating nefazodone therapy, and regularly thereafter.

Factors associated with normal blood pressure after surgery to treat primary aldosteronism
Article Abstract:
Surgery for primary aldosteronism will cure some patients of hypertension. Primary aldosteronism is caused by a tumor in the adrenal glands that produces excessive amounts of the hormone aldosterone. This in turn causes high blood pressure.
