Neurological outcomes in children with and without amalgam-related mercury exposure: seven years of longitudinal observations in a randomized trial
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the effects of clinical exposure to mercury amalgam in children. A total of 507 children were assigned to treatment with either amalgam or resin-based composite. It is concluded that exposure to mercury from dental amalgam does not adversely affect neurological status.

Survival and reasons for failure of amalgam versus composite posterior restorations placed in a randomized clinical trial
Article Abstract:
The reasons for failure of dental restorations are discussed. The performance of amalgams and composites, using clinical trail method, is also presented.
