Article Abstract:
The nursing shortage in the U.S. is expected to grow to more than one million nurses by the year 2020. An important factor in this shortage is the inability of nursing schools to cope with the increased demand, which resulted in over 42,000 thousand qualified aspirants being rejected in 2006-2007.
