Dietary fat composition and human adiposity
Article Abstract:
There are significant positive correlations between the percentage of dietary energy as total fat and body fatness, according to research assessing the links between total fat intake, saturated fat intake, monounsaturated fat intake or polyunsaturated fat intake and morphological indicators. This research confirms the view that high fat diets may over a period of time produce excess body fat deposition. There seem to be links between saturated fat and monounsaturated fat intake and enlarged body fat stores.
