North Carolina sues stores over drug reimportation from Canada
Article Abstract:
The North Carolina companies helped patients get their prescription and medical records to Canadian pharmacies, which would fill the prescriptions and then mail the drugs directly to the patients. The North Carolina Board of Pharmacy filed a lawsuit against five companies in October 2003, as it is illegal for companies not licensed with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy to use in their name, sign, letter or advertisement that imply the person, firm or corporation is licensed or registered to practice pharmacy in state.

GAO report calls liability crisis localized
Article Abstract:
The General Accounting Office (GAO) report has found that the rising medical liability rates have affected health care access on a local scale. However, it is alleged that this report focuses on only five out of the 10 states that are believed to be in a full-blown crisis.

FDA sues Rx sellers to stop importation of drugs from Canada

The US Department of Justice is suing Rx of Canada LLC and Rx Depot for selling drugs to individuals in the US. The US Food and Drug Administration is concerned about drug safety.
