The lost sons of Iona
Article Abstract:
Residents of the Scottish island of Iona have been greatly distressed by an incident in which four young men drowned while returning to the island late at night from a dance on the neighbouring island of Mull. The men all came from families with very long associations with the island, and their contribution to the local community will be greatly missed. The community will survive this tragedy, even though it also faces many other pressures.
