Nurse heroes: a class act
Article Abstract:
UK nurse and activist Bernard Morgan remains dedicated to improving the role of nurses within the community, despite being well into his 80s. Morgan has been honoured by several nursing unions for his dedication and enduring service to the nursing profession dating back to 1951 when he took up nursing after having served in the medical corps during the Second World War. One of his main causes was to ensure nurses were given a fair pay structure, while also maintaining the central theme of patient care within the profession.

Keeping teams together
Article Abstract:
Mental health care groups within the community are better able to offer a comprehensive service by ensuring each member of the team is fully appreciated for their individual skills and every available opportunity is made for members of the team to share their knowledge and experiences. Developing a clear training and communication strategy will enable the mental health care team to work effectively together, reducing stress and work loads.
